Be Careful of This Movie
There's been some facebook buzz lately about a new movie available on YouTube: "Love, Reality, and the Time of Transition."
This movie may be the most clever bit of deceptive propaganda ever created. If I were a part of the dark corporate elements
that tend to run the rest of our institutions on this Earth, I would consider this movie a creative masterpiece.
The YouTube description calls it an exploration of the "nature of love, relationships, the 'New Age' movement,
reality-creation, quantum physics, objectivity vs. subjectivity and how it all relates to the topics of "conspiracy
theories", psychopathy, and the importance of esoteric self-work."
And there is some worthy content, though it comes at you pretty much non-stop for over 77 minutes so that, unless you pause
it to digest some ideas, they all just get downloaded into your mind. It is a very artfully crafted movie that gives much
solid content but a liberal dose of spiritual bullshit is sprinkled in on the most crucial of points that can make a
difference in how smoothly our collective transition to harmony realization can be.
This movie makes effective use of various credibility-enhancers: First, it offers clips and quotations from people we tend to
trust, folks like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, Caroline Myss and Mariane Williamson. And much of that is good "food for
contemplation." The unattributed commentary content that comprises most of the movie leans heavily on telling us that we
should require scientifically-verified facts before we accept anything as truth. It tells us that it is only when we can
objectively state a truth regarding the spiritual dimension that we should accept that as truth. And the next thing it tells
us is that we are unable to do that. "Don't trust yourself or your experience" becomes the basic message.
Throughout, the movie content contradicts itself, makes simple things complicated and overly simplifying or glossing over
other aspects of the spiritual life that are crucial elements in our collective wake up process.
Let's clarify one thing here early on: If you are a conservative Republican, this movie is going to be confusing for you,
too, but in a very different way than for one who is truly conscious. (OK, let me fess up: I consider the term "Republican
conscious person" to be generally oxymoronic.) But the movie is not aimed at you. It's aimed at those who are starting to
disidentify with our corporate, governmental and religious institutions: at the people who are waking up. Because of what
this movie pretends to be, it will not be recommended down at your local gun club, by your garden-variety TV preachers or
Baptist churches.
It is aimed at the spirtually awakening audience, and is designed to weaken our resolve. Hence, it gives us a lot of content
with which we can easily agree before it drops its little bombs, another red flag for a propaganda piece. It is also heavy on
the convoluted, "intellectual" approach that was the trademark of William F. Buckley: "If you can't convince 'em, confuse
'em" is the tactic.
Mixed in with some intriguing stretches of commentary are what I consider to be truly destructive content that fits the
picture of traditional corrupt propaganda. Since part of my work is as an energy healer and spiritual explorer/writer, I see
the first point below as one that may be of the highest importance.
* The commentator suggests that it is futile to send loving energy to anyone "who didn't ask for it." Sending love
to others unannounced is said to be a form of self-deception. I have often seen plenty of evidence that this is
false. A significant aspect of our collective unfolding will come with our realization of the power of our loving
energy. We have not collectively learned yet that we can trust this energy, so we have not employed it.
* Engaging in blatant self-contradiction, the movie suggests first that it is wasteful to consider conspiracy
theories, and then tells us flat-out that something very fishy was going on with our government on 9-11-01.
* While we are told that we must balance the identification with the heart with that of the mind, it subtly and
consistently tips the scale in favor of giving the balance of our power to the mind. It leans on science and logic.
* It intellectualizes it's refusal to accept the maxim that we create our own reality, embracing a scientific,
logical argument and the dismissal of that which is spiritual. Science cannot prove the general rule that we
create our reality, and to stick to its game, it has no incentive to even try to prove it.
* "There is value only in conscious effort," we are told in various ways throughout the video; Struggle is necessary.
Interestingly, I assert, once one reaches a certain level of consciousness, the need or impulse to struggle
vanishes for good. We then flow with life in a way that allows us to more calm, accomplish more, be happier and be
of more effective service to others.
* This last one may be the kicker because it is a truth that few have embraced so far. The video tells us that we
must counter the forces of entropy, that there are many things that we must confront. This is the kind of
collective silliness that has the world in the shape it is now. The corrupt money barons of the world will not be
conquered by confronting them; they will fade away as we withdraw our attention and support from them.
Interestingly, this is the very same way in which the will and the wisdom of the heart will swallow up the
destructive behavior elicited by identification with the egoic mind.
And still, so many do not want to see it. It parallels the kind of propaganda that our governments and religions have spewed
out for so long. Folks say that if our government helps feed the poor and sets up humanitarian missions, it must be a good
government, despite the fact that it poisons our air and water while it lets corporate interests poison our foods with
aspartame and monosodium glutamate while it withholds life-saving and energy-saving technologies.
This runs parallel with the destructive spiritual propaganda of almost all of our religions. Decreeing that we are separate
from God, our religions divde us from each other and weaken us. The purpose of any worthy religion would be to unite and
empower us.
There's been some facebook buzz lately about a new movie available on YouTube: "Love, Reality, and the Time of Transition." Some people who I think of as very conscious have been raving about how wonderful it is, but the movie is a total snow job. This movie is a very clever bit of deceptive propaganda. And it can be very effective at poisoning your mind if you let it. If I were a part of the dark corporate elements that run so many of "our" institutions on this Earth, I would consider this movie a creative masterpiece and victory.

.
Images and ideas come at you at such a fast pace that one might discern this tactic as propaganda, sending a deceptive message. So-called "statistics" presented in the movie are designed to promote fear. An example: we are told that one in six of us is a psychopath and that there is nothing we can do about this fearful situation.
.
When the information comes at you so quickly as it does in this movie, it tends to be input into the mind immediately. No time is given for thought or reflection unless you use your pause button. (This is why I write my books in the style that I do: to slow you down so that you can reflect on and absorb loving ideas.)
.
If you speed read or are asked to absorb the rapid input of this kind of movie, your head will get the information input but the heart will not have time to send loving response to the head before the head is in the middle of the next idea. This is very important to understand.

* The first half-hour is largely stuff about which so many of us can agree. So please don't just watch that much if you choose to see this because it is the part of the movie in which trust is built. If you then pay attention, you will notice that any trust you have had in the wisdom of this video has been misplaced.

Science cannot prove the general rule that we create our reality, and to stick to its
game, it has no incentive to even try to prove it. The great minds of science and
spirituality have been at war with each other, trying to protect and project their own
"spiritual philosophies." When the dawn of the era of harmony arrives, as it will
soon, this is another of the apparent dualities that will disappear.
.

Interestingly, this is the very same way in which the will and the wisdom of the heart will
swallow up the destructive behavior elicited by identification with the egoic mind. As we
completely withdraw our attention and support from ego, its' influence evaporates. When
you realize that you are not your mind, you become free from it.
.
When you recognize that the institutions you have defended are not serving you, you can
be empowered to make a similar choice.
.

.
Both mirror the human ego and its greed for false power. The Universe is asking us---asking you---to see this and to respond with Love.
