The death of ego, corrupt government and religion will all come about because we will simply withdraw from them our attention and support. And, of course, this does not make sense to most people. We have not been trained to think in this way.
Ego is in the process of dying in much the same way that our destructive governments and religions are dying.
It is really amazing to consider the similarities between how our government operates and the apparent game plan of the human ego. Religion, polluted government and ego will not disappear as we fight them, as we pretend that they are not a problem, or as we unwisely identify with them as our servants.
Take a look at these mirrors, these teachers :
How Most Religions and Our Governments Mirror the Human Ego*
(I am observing the following about false religions that feature a harsh God, eternal damnation or dogma that suggests belief makes the believer better or more worthy than others. Only some of the so-called “minor” religions may be seen as uniting and empowering, so the following would not be referring to them. And the following does apply to nearly all of the world’s big governments.)
- They thrive on the promotion of war. They want you at war with yourself and with others. As you are preoccupied with that, you are less likely to focus on the reality that these institutions are at war with you while they foster war between nations for the economic gain of the already-rich.
- They give the illusion of freedom and choice while removing both.
- They refuse to take responsibility for their actions, blaming something outside. To cloak their own behavior, they falsely accuse others of the exact crimes of which they themselves are perpetrating.
- They take simple things like Love and twist them so that they appear complicated and unwanted.
- Religious dogma and books (like governments’ laws) are purposefully self-contradictory and misleading. Their leadership only honors the laws they have set down when it serves their purpose of manipulating us.
- They foster a brand of ignorance that they call the truth. While taking smaller steps to show that they are benevolent, their central intent is to divide and weaken their followers. Are you afraid to admit this?
- They are willing to suppress obvious truth in order to maintain their version of power. Allied with the major print and cable TV media, they feed you a watered-down version of truth that is consistent with their agenda and is often patently false.
- Their number one weapon is deceit. They are imposters. They fool people into seeing them as their ally and protector when, in fact, they are dedicated to keeping us weak and fighting each other.
- Religions are centered in creating fear of condemning judgment by God, fear of being rejected by your peers if you profess not to believe in the religion, and fear of trusting your own internal guidance and connection with the Divine. Government mongers fear of tax collectors and other “authority” figures.
- All have stories that justify their existence. Most of the stories, upon rational observation, are either simple fabrication or clever lies.
- They all are willing to break any laws or rules that they have made if it fits their immediate agenda. The federal government has broken nearly every treaty it has ever had with our Native American population. Since the mass media is in bed with both religion and government, you probably have not heard of one of the latest blatant moves on the part of the U.S. Government.
- So far in our history, their apparent motto has been “Order Though Chaos.” Internal reflections of each of these---government, religion, and ego---appear to fight with each other, fanning the flames of our inner battles as we engage in both inner and outer debate. Much of the message contradicts itself, discouraging our reliance on reason and common sense as it encourages division and feelings of weakness or powerlessness. As long as we are fighting each other, we cannot see what really challenges us.
Let’s look at the first item on the list above. And let’s assume, for the moment, that our various institutions---large religions, the banking/corporate corrupt, government and religion are all “in bed” with each other. Their interests appear to be served by the proliferation of war—in at least two ways. First, there are the wars we fight within ourselves. While our church may insist that the preservation of human life is a sacred duty in virtually all circumstances, our government and various corporate interests tell us that we must find ways to reduce our population.
As people look at this and have the courage to check into it by doing a little research, the question arises: What should we DO about this?
I propose a rather radical solution, one that few have thought to embrace:
- Send your loving energy to the ignorant and the greedy. Getting outraged, resorting to violence, or feeling overwhelmed by their actions serves no purpose other than to weaken yourself and stifle collective consciousness and Love. I am not asking you to like what these folks are doing, but I ask you to consider sending them your loving energy. This is how we heal.
- Withdraw your attention and support from institutions that you can see are not your allies. Consider the most effective ways that you can do this. If you choose to support an institution that tortures its enemies, mentally and physically abuses whistle-blowers, fights wars that almost nobody wants them to fight with your tax dollars, and poisons the food, air and water we consume, then you are a part of the problem.
- Build trust in your own loving power and in the power of the collective consciousness to rise above the current challenges. Choose to know that the light at the end of the apparent tunnel is a loving, high-vibration light.
Corrupt government, idiotic religion and the ego are all our teachers. And their lesson to us is to kiss them goodbye.
